Jeffrey Dunetz

Jeffrey Dunetz, a Partner of Highgate Capital Partners, brings over three decades of finance and legal experience to the cannabis industry. A creative problem-solver and deal closer, Jeffrey has counseled leading financial institutions and companies in over $80 billion of transactions.  Among the  elite investment bankers in the cannabis industry, Jeffrey has assisted numerous cannabis companies in their capital raising, M&A and operational activities. He has, among other things, substantial relationships with the C-Suite of the world’s leading cannabis operators and a broad range of family offices, venture capital firms, private equity investors and credit providers investing in the cannabis industry.  Previously Jeffrey was a Senior Managing Director and Head of Capital Compliance at the merchant bank BHC Capital Partners and a Senior Partner at the international law firm Mayer Brown LLP, where he was recognized as one of the leading banking attorneys in the world.   Jeffrey is also the co-founder of the Council for Federal Cannabis Regulation, which supports the adoption of informed laws to govern the cannabis industry.

Camilo Basto

Camilo Basto, a Partner of Highgate Capital Partners, is among the top investment bankers in the cannabis industry. Following a career as a trader with several prominent asset management firms, including Harvard Management Company, Perry Capital and Wellington Management Company, Camilo oversaw operations for Rocky Mountain High, a Denver based cannabis chain. Subsequently, Camilo lead all M&A and new business development efforts at Trulieve, the $1 billion market cap cannabis multi-state operator.  While at Trulieve, Camilo sourced and oversaw the integration of dozens of acquisitions and licensing deals. Rare in the cannabis industry, Camilo had a deep understanding of both the financial and operational aspects of  cannabis businesses.
